Security Shock Sensor Wired to all of the car
okay, hey everybody,
we all know that our car has a shock sensor located by the spare tire, but the functionality and reliablity is way less that perfect, even on the most sensitive setting if someone hits the front bumper or anywhere on the car except the right rear quarter panel the chances of the alarm going off are slim to none,
solution.
buying about 5 or 6 of the same sensor and just piggy backing the stock harness in the spare tire compartment and putting a sensor at every corner and in each door. sounds excessive i know but i love my car and hate when people even think of touching it,
my question is do yo uthink that this would work,
from my experience in wiring it should but tell me what you guys think!

Maybe your sensor is just bad - had to turn my sensitivity down cause it was going off for low flying aircraft (live near NAS Jax) and thunder. Also went off just flipping the fuel door shut.

I just added a Dual-Zone Proximity Sensor. Someone gets close it chirps the alarm. If they get within the car. The alarm will sound.

is that only in the camaro that the sensitivity setting is by the spare tire? I looked in my firebird around the spare tire and didn't find anything. Do I have to remove the spare tire? It was dark so i'll look again tomorrow.

I wonder if they make them anymore? I am sure any proximity sensor will.
