Not really man, i have raced many lt1s and they generally loose buy 4-8cars depending, i have seen some factory freaks run 13.6s-13.8s in the quarter stock which is close to a stock ls1 auto car. Maybe hes a freak

Well then thats why, any f-body take seriously, i didnt take my friend nicks auto 95 z28 seriously the first time we raced and i only won by about half a car, then we raced again and this time I slammed gears and won by about 6 or 7 cars. His car is also modded and ran a 13.5. I didnt know at the time that it was that fast, I was with him the first time he ran the car at the track and it ran a 14.2 so i thought no threat i was wrong.

Funny how the LT1 is so under-appreciated by many. Doesn't bother me a bit though. When some cocky guy rolls up thinkin' he's got it made, I just squeeze and never look back again

lol, however you are far from stock, i had a lt1 car and i loved it, i put that motor through hell for the 2 years i owned it and i never had any problems, from 55k to 85k most race miles. Never had to replace one item on the motor, window motors now thas a different story lol. I raced every single friday and saturday night in summer and alot in winter too. Took road trips to houston just to race out there. I even took a trip to salt lake city because my cousins friend had a integra GSR turbo and he was telling me he would smoke me so i went out there, he ran a 14.5 i turned over high 13s all day, smoked that kid. Went to Las Vegas when i was 18 in that car. The lt1 lasted through all of it. Id say i was probably in races in almost 25 states with that car.

I love goin other places to race, i went with my friend tony, with a supra we both own. Was running a 12.6 when we took it, alot faster now lol, the supra broke 2 hoses, fucked up a turbo and had a hole ripped in the exhaust pipe, luckly we had money and bought a new bigger turbo in houston and it went back with 40more rwhp lol.

"Factory Freak" is an internet myth.
The LSx is an awesome performance motor. The LT1 was a good motor in its day (much like the 5.0 was a good motor in its day).

The only time that term is used is when you see 2 stock cars on the same type of dyno make very different numbers. Like a 02 ws6 making 320rwhp and 335rwtrq and then a 02 ss stock made 347rwhp and liek 354rwtrq then they say the ss is a freak which it kinda is for being the same car wit hdifferent number but i know temps and conditions make differences but who cares let us have our E-Fun lol.

In my 94 Z 6spd hardtop I ran 13.6@102 on balding tires, with nothing but a Mobil 1 oil change, K&N, and Flowmaster muffler. If I had some sticky tires I bet I could have gotten that car in the low 13's. I took out a friends auto LS1 T/A from a roll, on the highway he pulled me by a few cars after about 90!
Just FYI, the fastest of LT1 F-bods(6spd hawk or SS coupes) were faster than the slowest of the LS1's(automatic 2.73 gears)

I don't even know why guys even bother to compare our cars stock for stock. Mods can make anything possible.
