What Exhaust system?
Wondering what exhaust system would be the best for power, that has a deep rumble and is loud. Im a noob here, so im not really sure. I was leaning towards a borla system b/c i hear they are deep. I will not buy anything but the best! And I would like the car to be legal....but if it makes a big difference...I will do otherwise if its worth it. Oh and I want to put true duals on there too. Im not sure what thickness the pipes or muffler tips should be. What do you guys think?

I have the borla Adjustable and absolutely love it a little pricey but worth it, (I got mine on the local Craigs list used with only 5,000 miles on it for $300 Might be a good place to look?). It Sounds great (even better with headers) and they do not resonate going down the highway.
I have Magnaflows on my 2004 f-150 fx4 and like the sound of those as well.
Whatever you do stay away from FLOWMASTER, they suck ass.2000 SS Camaro Heads, Large cam, Fast 90, 9"w/430's and locker, yada yada yada... you get the picture

i have borla on mine sounds great but bought it that way didnt spend the $900.had slp loudmouth on both of my camaros and i like the sound better than borla, but the borla tips look WAY better than slps.but if you have the money i would get borla.but i would never spend $900 on a exhaust.

borla adjustable you can take the right side tip off and use different sized plates to adj. the sound from quiet full plate to wide open i think there is 4 different ones.

I've got the adjustable borla, but after going to G11, I'm kinda wanting the GMMG chambered exhaust.

Yea, I really think im getting the adjustable borla exhaust. But how is that going to work out with true duals? Is 3 inch piping going to work? or is the true duals going to want 2 inches? I want to have maximum performance. I dont believe in losing power.
What kind of headers should i be looking at?

My car is completely stock btw. Why do headers help (im not sure what headers even do).

Pacesetters are a good choice for headers. They fit well and flow well on our cars. Headers is the piping from the engine to your cats (if you have cats) and they connect to whatever kind of pipe you have be it Y, X or H. Stock headers are restricktive and put a strain on your engine. By putting aftermarket headers on your car you free-up flow which will give you more HP, Torqe and your car will sound hell of a lot better.

The Borla adj. exhaust is not a true dual exhaust. Bassani makes a true dual exhaust and so does Texas speed as mentioned above.
here is the Bassani - http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/inc/sdetail/43970

ugh, there is so many things to choose from. Well...should i even get true duals? Would it have more benifits? I really liked the borla adjustable exhaust. I couldnt decide on any headers at all. And I dont quite understand what each type of tubes do (H pipe, y-pipe, x-pipe), i mean i understand what they do but i dont understand what would be best for sound and performace. Im all about finding the absolute best...because when it comes to this beautiful car...it doesnt deserve anything less!
So now im just lost. True duals...or not. I have a lot less options with true duals, but would it add more performance and sound compared to any other none true dual system out there? B/c I want the thing to be as deep and loud as possible...but no raspiness...i want the old muscle sound to it...except i want it to be even more so.
Is there anyone that has true duals out there?

True duals will give you that old, muscle car sound. It does produce more hp than your standard y-pipe setup.

basically if you have the cats removed or hallowed, and have a slp loudmouth, that is running straight pipe, i think it sound really good, but most might call it amnoxiously loud, which i am all for. it does have a lot of rasp thou, but imo rasp is what sets f bodys away from everything esle, the reason you drive an f body is to be different, so why try to sound the same?
i have a loud mouth on my ss and everthing else is stock as far as the exhaust is concerned and i get compliment from a lot of people old guys as well as young kids,
my best friends car had hookerr long tubes ory, and a spin tech muffler and it sounded good, really distinct sound, everyone loved it!

I think you need to keep researching. Sounds like you dont know much about these exhaust systems at all.
