Stall w/a shift kit and a tune is it bad???
I currently have a 3500 TCI Streetfighter stall and wanted to add a shift kit for a firmer shift. I've heard that if you add a shift kit with a stall and have it tuned that it raises the pressure in the lines too much and causes severe damage. I'm going to have it tuned w/LS1 edit professionaly. Should I skip the shift kit??? I need experienced input I've heard conflicting info this...THANKS!

It's my understanding not to increase the line pressure when using a shift kit. I bought a transgo kit but decided to try a tune first, happy with the tune so never installed it. Shift kit/install costs alot and needs to be done correctly - I'd try a tune first, if you don't like it you can always change the pressure back to stock and do a kit later. Talk to your tuner about it and get their opinion.

Try to talk to the guys at http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com
They don't advertise this on their site but I just bought a totally built 4l60e (bulletproof) with a kit, stall, and tune (they program my computer to optimize my mods) from them. Its being shipped to my shop for installation. They dyno all their stuff and the guys there are really cool. Call them up and get some advice."I am the executioner. When a crime is committed and the exalted state does not take vengeance nor move to punish, then comes time for the executioner to declare himself. I have waited long enough. The criminals are hereby sentenced to death. By fire. By earth. By water."

Thanks for the advice from all of you I'll let you know what happens after I take it to have it tuned on the dyno. I'm in the chicagoland area and I'm going to SpeedInc they were featured in SuperChevy Magazine and are one of the best in the business. The build LS1's pushing 1000 horse. I talked to them and they said they'll take care of everything for $300-$400. Keep you posted...
