They do run a lot faster than 14.0s. The guy either didn't launch correctly, it was his first time at the track, or he had horrible traction. Not that the SRT8 would be running high 11's, but more like mid to high 12's.

yeah the trap is good for mid-low 11s. i did 2 passes only that day.
first run that^^^ and second run 11.76@122.1mph with 1.73 60' i blew the alternator after i shifted to 3rd and kinda paniced and let go and got back on the car and ran slower times than my best. i even ran .1 faster on 1/8 mile. that was my 11.6-5 run right there
yeah that charger could have run better than that but i doubt he would be anywhere close to mid 12s. I would still murder him even if he would have run low 12s

Silver- 06 Charger SRT-8
Dude, great times, cool car but SURELY you raced something faster than a lousy driver running a 14.0 in low 13sec car??
Thats like me posting a V6 Mustang kill on the Bimmerforums!

Nice kill. Does your Cobra still have the stock SC on it? I'm fascinated at how fast those cars can go.

yes, i still have the stock blower. there are some ran 10.9x with stock supercharger, stock rear, 6 speed, full weight.
on this run as you see i launched it easy and cut 1.8 60' ran 11.74. with harder launch like 1.5x - 1.6x 60' the car can go 11.5- 11.4s with only 4 mods i have. if i port the blower and throtle body thats another 40rwhp and get a lower pulley and another 30-40rwtq and wth good driving 10s isn't far but low low 11s with stock blower is easy!

That's fast and with that kind of MPH I wouldn't think 10's would be too hard to accomplish.

"11.74@122.8mph w/ 1.81 60"
something is wrong with that clock, either the MPH or the time. with that MPH and 60' it should have been something closer to 10.9X. if your car really ran an 11.74, then the MPH should be closer to 116MPH judging by that 60' time.

My brother ran an 11.3 in his GN and trapped 117MPH. That's seems about right.
He might be losing time somewhere else like between shifts? Alot of folks on the Buick board are running high 11's with the same 112 MPH trap speed as me and I can't get out of the 12's even with a 1.6 second 60' time. Go figure.

maybe youre losing a lil time somewhere too, anyways have you tried going to a different track?i would think that with a 112MPH trap and 1.6' 60' you MIGHT be closer to an 11.6-11.8 but anyways estimates sometimes tend to get skewed when the 60' drops below the 1.8 range.also, i dont mean to sound like an ass but i dont think i fully understood your post, were you agreeing with me or disagreeing? also, what was your brothers 60' time? 1.7?

Huh, good question lol. I guess I'm disagreeing. Maybe there could be other factors involved with a higher ET other than a bad launch. If he gets a good launch but loses time from shifting, he might still be able to accomplish the same MPH but with a higher ET. Hope that makes sense.
My brother's 60' times average between 1.5-1.7. I think on that 11.3 second run he got a 1.5 60'.
