TT 300zx...
what are my chances in a race stock vs stock, my cousin just got one and from what i hear it is sweet! the turbos are new purchased from a nissan dealer, 5 spd. Just wondering because he is on his way back to town with it and I can't wait.

stock for stock you will smoke him, it won't be much of a race. They are slower than what i thought, don't be suprised when you see him in the rearview.

they are quick cars, but a lil heavy and not as much power as an ls1. you'll beat him stock for stock. if you have bolt ons its all she wrote for him lol those twin turbos though pull hard in the top end. they can be built to have a ton of power as well. thats a stout bottom end. The thing that hes gonna hate though is working on it. That has to be one of the worst engines I've ever worked on. Its loaded with technology, the term cramped engine compartment was coined in reference of that car.

they are dogs down low... they have nothing for you...so just make him a $20... and go get some Pizza after beating him... LOL...
Up top is a bit difrent... they go really well on the highway... I raced a friend in a Non-Turbo... complete freeflow including Port/Polish... and I was having a reaally tough time catching him up in the 120mph range... (i'm Automatic so gearing doesn't help much)

Stock 300ZXs are mid-14s at under 100mph...better race for a LT1. Not too many stock ones left, tho...so be careful.

I know that if you p&p the intake on the f.i. ones it gains a nice amount of hp.

I just walked one on my way to the shore friday. It had at least intake/exhaust, I didn't get to talk to the guy.
