Another "Is this a good deal?" thread. 2000 WS6
I am currently looking for a ws6 trans am. I would like to have a M6 but I ran across a A4 that seems like its not priced to badly. I wanted your opinion. It would be greatly appreciated. Only drawback is it has 97k miles. I talked to the guy and he told me the car looks and feels like a brand new car. Told me to go drive a lower mileage car with a M6 and he would bet his car feels and drives much better. He said cause most manual shift cars are beat to hell and back due to being driven hard. Anyway, Here is the ad detail below. Tell me what you think. thanks a million guys.
2000 TRANS Am WS6,T-Top,Auto,Pewter,Full Tuneup just done,Viper Exhaust System,SLP Ramair,Soundsystem,F1tires,Alloy rims,TOO FAST FOR ME!! Female driven,Not a racer, $13,000 OBO
I asked him what he'd take for it and he said. $12.500
Here's a pic.

Sounds like a nice car, but it's tough to say about the price. I've been looking for one lately, and it kind of seems like a sellers market right now. Alot of people seem to want a pretty penny for them.
Personally I think that's high for one with nearly 100k, I've seen them cheaper w/those miles.
I guess it depemds what the rest of them are going for in your area.
Here's an example of one I just saw: Red '01 WS6 A4, 70k miles, 13,700. A little more money, but 27k less miles.
I also remember seeing a silver one, a '99 I think, with 98k for 9,800.

He told me the car was bone stock when he bought it. The previous owner was a female. He was going to use the car as a evangelist tool for his youth group at his church. So he added the exhaust and stuff like that to attract attention but the car wasnt raced. He has only put 1,000 miles on it since he owned it. He says It's extra clean and feels brand new. The miles just have me thinking. Like you said I might be able to wait and find something with less miles for about the same price. I want to use whatever WS6 I find as a daily driver. I dont drive many miles a day...

gable now that is a f'n good deal
Out here in so cal they seem to be selling for very high, 01-02 WS6's with 50-60 thousand miles are selling for on average between 18-20k every time i check on autotrader online. There are some good deals but there far and few between and not even close to as good as the deal you got.
I paid 18k for mine with 44 thousand miles on it back in march, it was completely stock except for a chokemaster muffler and some different tips.Pacesetter Headers- ORY

Just make sure you get the transmission you want. If you get an auto and want a manual you'll get be kicking your self later. IMO the M6 is hell a fun compared to the auto. I think both trans options get abused about equally as much. Most people get auto's to drag race with so that's just selling BS to help sell an auto.

$11,600
The only catch is it has a previously salvaged title. You couldnt tell it by looking at it now. I seen pics of the prior damage and it wasnt that bad. Just had to replace the passenger fender and lower A-arm and have it aligned. Front bumper was scratched but not damaged. The accident it was in didnt even set off the airbags. Its all painted up and pretty again... I had it inspected and test drove by someone in the area.
I would have never been able to afford a car like this. You cant tell anything ever happend by driving it or looking at it. I'm stoked! Pic in Avatar and another in my profile.Last edited by WS6fan; 07-10-2007 at 01:52 PM.
