UFC 73 ~PPV~ Saturday 7/7/2007 ~ STACKED
This is one of the best fight cards of all time!
Two title fights and the UFC are not even marketing either of them as the main event!
For the MW title:
Nate Marquardt Vs. Anderson Silva
For the LW title:
Hermes Franca Vs. Sean Sherk
Rashad Evans Vs. Tito Ortiz
Heath Herring Vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Alvin Robinson Vs. Kenny Florian
Mike Nickels Vs. Stephan Bonnar
Diego Saraiva Vs. Jorge Gurgel
Chris Lytle Vs. Jason Gilliam
Mark Bocek Vs. Frank Edgar
I hope to see some of the regular members who know mma like Ice, Akira, Darkness, Anthracis, etc give thier predictions/comments/observations but since this is such a stacked card I would like to see some new posters to this thread as well.

i hope tito gets annihilated and realizes he cant hang with the current UFC fighters, then quits and goes to fight in local tough man contests at your local venue for $10 a ticket.

I will let others make predictions this time. But I will try to be in attendance at the event in Sac since I live here!
It is a solid fight card. It should be a good event!"I am the executioner. When a crime is committed and the exalted state does not take vengeance nor move to punish, then comes time for the executioner to declare himself. I have waited long enough. The criminals are hereby sentenced to death. By fire. By earth. By water."

I watch every single one! I love them.
I like Chuck Liddell- I also like F. Griffin - along with many others.
I watched this stuff back in the day when Royce (Hoyce?) Gracie (spelling?) - Shamrock, Tank Abbot, all them ruled the octagon.
Good to see I am among other UFC fans

Silva by ko in the first
Sherk over Hermes
Tito over the overconfident Evans
Bonnar dominates Nichols
Don't know the rest....
I'm ready to see Gonzaga vs. Coutore (spel?)

That would be so kewl to get to see this one live. Do not miss this one bro!
It is funny that you hear this allot now that MMA has become so popular!
I usually hear I have been watching UFC since number one. I then inform them that UFC #1 was not a live PPV show and it quiets them fast! (not directed at yourself of course)
I am gald to have you posting on this thread jrc this is going to be one hell of a card!
My predictions for the title fights is that both champs will retain their belts allthough it will not surprize me if they loose as anything can happen in a fight!

I'm not missing it but DAMN the prices! $500+ for a seat close to ringside! I think I'll settle for the middle section $250. They say its a good area. We'll see!
$500 = nice dyno tune!

Thanks man, yeah if I remember correctly me and my cousin rented the old ones on VHS back in the Mid 90s.
I like Tito, but I kinda hate him too -- I do think that Forrest should have easily won that decision. (when they fought a while back) I think he isn't as good as he thinks he is.
Stephan Bonnar -- his fights have bored me after the Griffen/ Bonnar first fight for the 6 figure contract. (meaning all his fights blow except that one)
I hope Q. Jackson (Rampage lol)-- I hope he loses that title so quick, and then loses like 3 in a row, so I don't have to see his silly WWE style azz ever again. I mean seriously he wears a costume (chain) into the ring.. Whats next .. Hoes on his arms, and a cheesy loud manager is a tacky 80s suit?
What a joke. He degrades MMA and annoys me greatly.
Randy Coture-- I am soo glad beat that boring ass fighter- Tim Silva (silvia,) whatever that big oaf's name was) ---I would rather watch paint dry then to watch a sub par boxer with - even worse ground skills keep his distance and play it safe.
I like Josh Koscheck too -- He is fun to watch,
Chris Liben is annoying, but I always pull for him .. lol
Now that it has been proven that Matt Hughes isn't god, I don't mind watching him, I just hated him while he had the title.
Okay that is some of my UFC - thoughts..

I want to see Josh Koscheck get owned by GSP in their upcoming fight!
I really hope that Big Nog does good in his UFC debut as the former Pride HW Champ has been a real warrior over the years.
I would like Randy to win his next fight vs. GG and gets to set up a super fight with one of the old Pride fighters. Hell if Fedor signs that would be a great fight:
Here is an outline for the perfect fighter:

I agree, i think it will be great to see big nog fight again. All the pride fighters are coming over to UFC, deffinitely improves the quality of the cards and fighters overall. UFC is becoming slight less a bunch of brawlers, and a little more skilled the more they import these career fighters.

Alright, I can't help myself:
Anderson Silva vs. Nathan Marquardt - Silva by strikes in round 1. But marquardt has a very good chance if he can manage to get silva down.
Tito Ortiz vs. Rashad Evans- Tito 3 round split decision...(maybe) But it will come down to who has the better stamina, octagon control, and aggresiveness.
Sean Sherk vs. Hermes Franca- Sherk by Unanimous Decision
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Heath Herring- Nogueria by an Armbar in round 1
Chris Lytle vs. Jeff Joslin- Lytle by strikes in round 2
Jorge Gurgel vs. Diego Saraiva-Gurgel by strikes in round 2
Stephan Bonnar vs. Mike Nickels-My boy "BONER" by strikes in round 3
