    car is acting up

    After i did seafoam in my car the car once in a while starts up and then idles at like 350-400... then i turn it off and wait like 3 minutes and then start it up and it goes back to normal... what does everyone think??

    Seafoam in the tank or the crankcase? If you added it to the fuel, I'd want to know if you've replaced the fuel filter.

    Idle air control valve may be going out.

    I put a little in the gas tank the rest in the crankcase... where is the idle air control valve at? and how much is it to replace...

    Actually now that I think about it, maybe it is the fuel filter like jad628 said. If the filter is really clogged, then it may take a couple of tries for the fuel to push through the restriction on a cold start. I would try changing the filter first, since it probably needs to be done anyway. The idle air control valve would probably set a code, however, I have seen them act up without setting a code. Is the service engine soon light on? The idle air control valve is located on the throttle body.

    under the car, driver's side in front of rear wheel.
