Service/Repair Manual F-body

Hey all,

I am planning on swapping out my brake rotors, brake pads, brake fluid, and maybe the caliper mount and brake flex hoses and wheel mounting studs. And this depends on what I find once I get the car up on jacks. I have done brake pads before, but haven't done complete brake systems. I am also planning on swapping the shocks and springs in a few months as well.

With that said, I would like to get a service manual specifically for our cars.....

What type of service/repair manual do you guys use or recommend? And how much should a complete service/repair manual cost for an 01 Trans Am?

I have the Helms factory service manual. It's huge...but also pricey. Sometimes they go on sale or you can find them on ebay.

How's the details and the pictures in that manual? Is this it? $150. That is pricey. It better be a damn good repair manual.

That's it, $135. It doesn't have pics, but detailed diagrams and is a 3 volume set. Sometimes they put them on sale for 1/2 price - got mine a couple years ago for $74 shipped. Definitely worth the money.
