Finally gonna have my Z running

Okay, so as of today, 23 June 2007, it has been eight months to the day since my 98 Z28 broke down. Earlier today I negotiated a deal on an 02 short-block LS1, a Comp Cams 228/230 XER cam, Comp 850 lifters, and possibly a few other goodies too. I should be going to check it out/pick it up tomorrow or Monday.

I should have it going again soon. I also have a deal going on a set of exhaust manifolds (mine are rusted and two bolts to the y-pipe broke while we were removing the oil pan to check the bearings) but I hopefully will have enough money left to get the brakes done and maybe get a set of headers.
Either way I should have my Z back on its feet after eight months!

BTW, does anyone have a Comp XER 228/230? Or can anyone tell me how that's going to work in an otherwise stock LS1?

It sucks being down and I know the itch you have to be back up, anyone that mods usually breaks and knows the desire you have to be up again. Good luck with it all and hang in there
