If they do go with the LS3, I wouldn't be surprised to see them tune it down to 370hp to make a somewhat larger gap between the vette and the camaro. Then of course the car will end up weighing 4000 pounds due to the latest safety requirements....
I hope that's not the case but we'll see.

The LS3 is the next generation of the same series of motors.
Remember though that an LS2 is rated at 400hp so what will a LS3 in a vette be rated at is the question.
If it is at 450-500hp does it matter that it will be detuned?

i'm excited to see this thing hit the streets. they should put some old school z/28 badges on it and some old school SS badges on there as well. some flip up headlights would be kool as well as special paint packages like hugger orange or rally stripes. it's sleek and sexy and futuristic and forward looking but has some killer lines of yesteryear. i really think that chevy pretty well nailed it on the head with the new 5th gen.
