    torque converter..

    i have a couple of questions.....what do they mean in "stall"...and which ones would you guys recommend me getting...i have the car as a daily driver..and well i also want it fast...right now i have headers and. lid....getting a camshaft soon..s.thx!

    A stall and cam should work with one another. You want the stall to put you in the cam's power band. A 3500 stall is a great stall for DD.

    what type of stall does the Camaro have stock? compare to that 3500 how much difrent fuel millage would it get?

    I believe the stock convertor is 1800, I am not positive on that though. If you do a lot of in town driving the bigger convertor will reduce your MPG to 15/16 MPG probably. You will still get good MPG on the highway though because the convertor will lock up at a certain speed and your RPMs then drop.

    thanks... I'm very intersted in it...but am afraid I drive way too much in traffic.

    That's ok, as long as go 3000-3600 range, and if you still have stock gears(3.23's), you'll be fine. The only thing you will notice is that it will take a few more rpm's to get rolling from a stop. A stall is a must if you do a cam.

    how bout a Trans Brake?... does that make any difrence... can it even be installed in a seemingly stock trans...or rebuilt one?

    I would look into swapping for a th350 or th400 if you want a trans brake.

    hehe...no wonder 1rst gear never shifts until around that RPM

    I've only seen one company do a T-Brake for the 4l60e and it aint cheap.

    Usually 550-900 depending on size stall application etc.
    My Toy 00 Z28 1SC A4 - MS3 cam with supporting valvetrain, Milled LS6 heads, LS7 lifters, , ARP rod and mains, All free mods, pacesetters, True duals, moser 9 with 4.11's and Detroit Locker, Vig 3600 tuned, tubular SFC,adj PHR, LCA, adj TA, PHR reloc, LCA reloc. all with poly bushings, ZR1's and Nitto DR's (315).

    My other toy 05 GTO LS2 M6- Comp XR269HR cam, 918's, hardened pushrods, Dart Pro 1's, pacesetters, X-pipe, flowmaster 1 chambers, TSP oil pump, Tick master cylinder. Pedders RR bushings, end links, SB bushings, tie rods and strut mounts, total performance poly F&R bushings. Polk DVC 12", Infinity Kappa 6.5 component and 6x9's with corresponding amps.

    Her toy 77 F100-6.6/c6. All original (for now)
