The engine cover is there to dress it up. If you take it off it looks like a
. It has the truck intake that is all funky looking. Fast is suppose to be coming out with a intake for it in the near future. The LS2 runs great, but for some reason they used a clutch fan on it. I am looking for a set of LS1 fans so I can get rid of that and free up a little more power. I just got my Chambered 3 inch catback installed and my k and n and free air mod done. Still trying to figure out what works and what don't before I start modding heavy. If it wasn't so dang heavy it would be so much faster. But even with it weighing 4500 lbs and a horrible tq management system with bad air and humidity it ran 14.8@92 mph with a 2.2 60 ft. Not bad for our elevation and weather conditions, but has a lot of room for improvments with some mods.

Nice ride, I went to the Chevy dealer to look at them, but they didn't have one to look at (locally) they had one about an hour north they could get for me, but I said I was just looking at this time.
I did look at a fully loaded TB (non SS) just to see the size and get an idea of what the SS is like. It was stickered at 37k+ -- It was okay, but I thought it was kinda small for the price. (interior wise) Not really enough cargo room for an SUV.
Enjoy the new vehicle, I love the exterior design and the LS2 engine.

Yeah the one we have is a fully loaded 2wd minus DVD and navigation. The sticker on it was 36K but we got it for around 32K. I love it and wouldn't want any other kind of SUV after owning this. We looked at Tahoes but for the one equally equipped it would have been around 50K and still not have the LS2.

Is the suspension stiff? I know my moms EXT has felt like it had bad shocks since the day we bought it. And it makes it for a unpleast ride for me, reminds me of the time i rolled my blazer.

wonder why they went with a single side exhaust system on it? True duals would be nice on that.

They make a ture dual kit that comes out the back. They are around 1000 for a non painted kit and 1200 for a painted kit, but the rear valance fits like crap since it is made from fiberglass. You can cut the existing valance, but you have to cut both to match since the original cutout has a rolled lip. The kits are quite compared to my Chambered catback. And I have $35 in my 3 custome chambered catback. THe minimum catback for these things are around 500 and up. People hate me when they hear it and then aske how much it cost.
