shift knob - cant get it off
i need help taking it off. dosent it just unscrew?

um i know on the autos there is a staple you need to take a screw driver to pry it off.

95-black & 80-blue- 95 Trans Am and 80 TA
there is a U clip that ya got to pull out with a screw driver. the U clip is in the front of the knob. and when that is out it will just slide off
95 TA A4, Black on Black C5 Z06 wheels, CAI, 160 powerstat, TB coolent bypass, TB foil, LT4 Knock Sensor, STB, SFC, Poly trans and torque arm mounts, flowmaster muffler, gutted cat, and hypertech tuned.

sometimes they get stuck on pretty good because it's going from hot to cold in the car. I thought I was going to break mine in my 87 getting it off. it'll go counterclockwise eventually.
