No Gas
NO GAS...On May 15th 2007
Don't pump gas on MAY 15th
In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.
There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.
If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.
If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldn't) resend this to all your contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"
I got this as an email, i usually delete all these chain letters, but screw it...f-these gas prices.

eh it's a load of crap. think about it.
yeah you take money our of the pocket of the industry for one day.
but that one day loss is nullified by everyone filling up their tank the day before or the day after.
not to mention the companies and people that will have to fill up on that day to keep their businesses going.
it won't work...never has...never will.

Will never work.
You still have to drive that day using your fuel. So you fill up on the 16th. Oil companies are still getting your money.
The only way something like this would work would be to boycott one company. Don't fill at their stations. Mind you, there are only a few oil companies that supply fuel to gas stations. Even though their are several different name brand stations.
Figure out what company fuels what stations...and avoid those stations.
Even then...would take a massive boycott to make a difference, and it isn't likely to happen.

if you want to buy from companies that supply their tanks with only oil from America check out:
Kwik Trip (i think they go by another name in different parts of the country)
Holiday (nice because they blend their 94 octane with 10% ethanol - reduces cost of the fuel and better for the environment)
if anyone knows more 100% American supplied companies post em up.
