Are youperforming a brake-stand burnout?
Line lock?
Overheating your brakes severly (i.e. brake-stands heavy braking at the end of 1/4 drag) may cause your brake fluid to boil leading to severe brake fade and a lower than normal pedal.
Consider flushing and replacing old brake fluid. Brake fluid absorbs moisture.
Old fluid=More moisture=lower boiling point of fluid.
Check your brake hoses also for deterioration, swelling, cracking etc...
Consider steel braided lines.
SOME brake fade is normal after heavy brake application, but there are ways to virtually eliminate it, if your wallet permits.

nah not at all...all my brake stuff looks like it would from the factory..and its even with the littlest bit of spin...say if i make a turn pullin out or somethin and it bearly lets loose, the first time i brake it works but it goes in fearther, then when i let up it goes back to normal.? i dont have traction control..iunno if that has somethin to do with it or if its somethin with the abs or what. everything thing looks brand new as far as the brake system.

Mine did the simliar thing, but I had TCS. If I started to spin and the TCS kicked in the pedal would be a little softer the first brake, but then was back to normal. I think TCS activates the rear brakes though, so that may have been what was going on IDK. So this was probably no help but I thought I would share my experience.

Our TCS is a crude safety system (as compared to some of these luxo cars). It was not intended as a system to help you launch the car.
It works by limiting tire spin on any wheel by applying the brake to that wheel and by cutting back on throttle plate position. Of course on most F-Bodies rear wheel tire spin is the most common
I have mine off during dry weather because tire spin is more predictable, but during rainy weather I need to leave it on due to my mods (A4 w/hi-stall, shift kit, gears, wide flat tires). It's saved my butt a few times when I've (foolishly) taken it past the limit in those conditions. My .02
