How do I fit oil pan and covers?
I've been reading and have read that I have to fit the oil pan and the front and rear covers a certain way before I bolt them tight. Do I have to put gasket sealant in the corners? Any help would be great because I have only put early model small blocks together. Is there somewhere on the net that I could see pictures of this process. Thanks

There are special tools designed to line up the parts square. I don't know the best place to get them as they can be expensive

there are special tools you use to get them all lined up. but, if you take your time, you can get it all done without them. get the oil pan centered and snug first. then do the front and rear cover.
wheel to wheel has a rear cover seal install tool and centering tool. it's $275.00

once you get everything centered, then torque to specs. oil pan first. then front and rear covers.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

Thanks. When I get ready to put the covers on I will probably see and understand how they work together. $275 seems steep for a couple simple looking tools.
