gains from a cam

what have been your gains just from a cam swap, a tuner where i live says he can get 50 hp on a cam ........ specs? but still streetable

Depends on the aggressiveness of the cam you get. An MS4 cam will yield higher overall hp gains than a TR 224 cam. But the TR 224 cam will be better for street manners. All depends on what you want.

i gained 25rwhp when i swapped my stock cam out for my Comp 224 cam (224/224 .581/.581 @112lsa).

TSP Torquer v2 claims a 40rwhp increase over stock cam...

i just bought a TSP 231/237 .598/.595 @112+2 lsa to put in place of my 224. numbers should be about the same as the TSP Tv2...

is 50rwhp possible, yes with a good tune and the supporting mods/valvetrain upgrades as well. the bigger the cam the more it gets away from being streetable and more of a strip performer (peak hp cam). a 224 cam is a good daily driver (DD) cam that makes great solid under the curve power. any cam from 224-232 is still a good DD cam. there are some people that have big cams 240-246 range that they drive daily. it all depends on what your goals are with your car, and what you are willing to put up with...
