Towing 1200lbs.?

Hello,

My 01 M6 must have been painted, so its missing the sticker showing the towing capacity, can you help me out? I'm looking at towing a Seadoo
(1175lbs. w/trailer) for maybe maybe 2.5 hours at a time. I have a truck, but would like another option. Bad idea?

that'll look funny, i think the towing limit is 1000lbs

yea, just checked its 1000lbs, not recommended by GM

i use to pull a small ski boat with my 88 camaro i think it was around 2500-3000 lbs it did fine after air shocks but i dont recommend it that was my only vehicle at the time

6 inch & 35" Procomps. It was all over the road, I just replaced the pitman arm, so hopefully it won't be so bad. And forget trying to keep an alignment!

So, I guess it is the tounge weight that is the problem here, as apposed to the gross weight?????
