Well, I'm the scrawny white guy, not a black guy. Not sure what that would really matter, but I could see I would be at an advantage if I was.

speakin of that. I was at fedex last year trying to get a job, i was in this pre-hire training class and filling out all paperwork and the next step was an interview if they liked us. Well the only people in this class was me,(I am a normal white guy) and the other guy was a black dude that just came over from Nigeria and could barely speak english. I had to help him with his application lets put it that way. Well about a month later I asked my friend who is a fedex driver and he said they hired that african guy over me and they make fun of him because he cant talk english (funny but mean). So yes, a minority will get hired over you no matter what.

My friend drives for UPS and their drivers make like 19$/hr+. He works 6 days a week about 13 hours+ a day and has no life or time to spend all that money. O yea and he hates it

BlackCherry- Bad Ass 67 Camaro / 2010
I applied with the US POstal Service several years ago.
I filled out multiple applications for different jobs.
Driving, delivery, sorting, etc.
About two months later I started getting replies to come in.
I had already accepted a killer job, so I did not go.
good luck.

I been with the US Postal System (they removed the service) for ten years. Straight salary like ^^ said right now is about $47,000. You'll make lots more in overtime. I worked UPS once (two weeks) too loading/unloading trailors and the was the worst job ever. They treat you shitty sometimes at the PO but pay is decent and they have a very liberal leave policy. 4weeks paid a year aint bad.

the 47thou is just straight time, you get night and sunday diff. pay which is an extra $80 per week. and if u work holidays u can bank the 8 hours or get extra 8 hours pay
