WTB anything under $1000!!!!!
yea, my second post about it. need a beater that runs that i wont have to spend money on, so i can get to and from work and save up for a car that i actually want (like an fbody)
im not worried about looks or power or anything, as long as its truly not a piece of garbage

not much help but you should go to an auctioin
i bought a Neon from an auction for 400$... 5spd 4dr nice shape... beat the hell out of for 2 years and then i killed it...
then i got a 5spd Saturn for like 600$ and drove that for over a year... and killed the trans....
anyways everytime i need a beater i go to an auction and they can be had for cheap and in decent shape...

but the bad thing about an auction is that u can never tell anything about the car. no test drives, no checkin it out or anything... just a hurry up and buy!!
or am i wrong?

where i go...
they have the cars basically in a parking lot a few hours prior... you can look inside... under hood... under car... anything
then they drive the car to the auction area and you can follow the car if you want and listen to it run... and it runs for about 10 mins total and you can see if there are any major malfunctions...
some cars sound like absolute trash and are knocking but they sell for 40$.... seriously i saw like 5 cars sell for under 50$ but yeah you can buy trash or you can get something decent

check the paper... or trading times..
or just search on yahoo and one might pop up...
you can get a good deal if you know what you are looking for..
here is a quick search i did on yahoo for ya...
you have 2 auction places withing 12 miles nearby!
you should call them and see when they have the next auction...
and by me you have to pay in cash or cashiers check so go prepared

you can check out all the cars before the auction. Hop in and start them and move them forward and backward a little bit in their parking space. My friend picked up a decent mid 90's audi there for $1500.
but i bet there are closer ones to you.
