I don't know about you guys but I think that is pretty fucked up. Autism is nothing to joke about and I've heard that it is a major hassle to live with. I gave her a piece of my mind earlier but she hasn't responded yet. I'm curious to know why she would do that.

I don't really think she's wearing it to be funny/mean. She works with autistic childern im sure shes very aware of how terrible autism is.

nothing like jumping to conclusions, right? She's wearing a shirt that says "autism rocks" so she must be a real bitch. She definitely couldn't be raising public awareness or maybe working to help the kids come to accept it themselves.

Why would she be in a hurry to get back to you. She's probably got more inspiring things to do than defend herself against someone who jumps to conclusions from a first appearance.

I doubt she is doing it to offend anyone either but you just don't wear a shirt that says a disease or other bad condition is cool. That would be like me wearing a shirt in front of my (now deceased) friend that says that diabetes rocks. That would have really pissed him off and I don't blame him.

See my above post. You just DON'T do that. How would you like it if you were in bed with terminal cancer or some shit like that and I walked into your room wearing a shirt that says "Cancer rocks"? Cancer, just like Autism, DOES NOT rock, rule, or whatever. They both suck and people have been known to kill themselves because of them.
