I believe I used the camaro 69' SS emblem to match the curve of the grille. (see avatar photo) I got mine from NPD.

SSTODD where did you purchase the black powder coat grille? Was it polished in the front and required additional coating? I haven't been able to locate an all black grille...

Holy crap I finally remembered, I think it was precisiongrilles and I called them because the standard part is polished but you can ask for black and they have a modified p/n for it. Just make sure they process the order correct with the black finish, I think I bugged the hell out of them but I did not want to receive the wrong part. It was only around $110 I think. Good luck and let me know if this info. works.

I just got my 69 ss emblem but it stick out about 2 inches from the billet grill. do they all look like that? looks good from from a front view, but when I look over it I can see a big gap.is there anyway to make more flush.

mine fits flush, i think i cut off the mounting studs, and glued it on
