Ah, brings back memories of my '76 455-4sp T/A, best looking year 2nd gen IMO. Gotta love that 100MPH speedo too. I wrapped mine around tight one night hitting redline in 4th (guessing ~135MPH). The speedo cable broke less than a week later, LOL.

My dad had a second generation TA with the olds engine, black with silver birds. He told me that him and a friend were coming home from the movies from a near by town called elkin and when the movies let out it was like 1055 and his friend was suppose to be home by 11 and its like a 45 minute ride. His friend said the needle on the speedometer didnt come out from under the dash more than once or twice the whole way home. He said pretty much a 14 minute ride.

I would love to have been in that car. lol
