The restriction was in all LS1 cars.

09-24-2005, 12:36 PM #9Actually I found the answer to my own question recently-the 01 +02 cars do not have a restriction. The reason I asked was I remembered back to test driving my 2002 before I bought it and the salesman thought I was trying to lay rubber.I had a 98 that I bought in late 97 and had driven for 4 years and I jumped in the 02 and the clutch feel was so much lighter that I looked like an idiot trying to drive it.My left foot kept acting like it's the same car even though my brain knew it wasn't.I have read that they changed something in the clutch hydraulics-not sure if that is all they changed-anyway there is a big difference in clutch feel between the 98 and the 02.
