first of all, is "interchangeability" even a word ?

Anyways, I have a 95 Firebird and I need to replace the center console.
I found a 98 T/A console on ebay and was wondering if I could take advantage of the "additional cupholders" with the 98!!

I know the pre98 and post98 Camaro consoles weren't interchangeable due to the redesign of the stereo console, but if I recall the Firebirds (pre and post 98) stayed pretty much the same on the inside (with minor revisions). ?

Thanks!
