Where are the jobs & places to live in FL?

I'm going to be moving down there soon. I'm not looking to live in hurricane alley and I'm not looking to live in a terribly expensive area. I also can't be TOO far from the shore or the race track.

I'd like my commute to be 30 minutes tops. I will be sticking w/the inside sales field.

So where are the decent jobs and places to live?

I looked at the Coral Springs/Ft Lauderdale areas, but they are pricey. My original plan was to live in or around Orlando. Is this my best bet or are there other areas I should take a look at?

Stay out of Florida if you want to stay out of "Hurricane Alley!"

And yes, Orlando would be a good bet as per your criteria

I used to live in Jacksonville, FL and thats a nice area. It starting to grow pretty big though. About 20 mins. from the beach. I miss it alot!
