Cam/Head increase
I have a 00 WS6 that currently produces 380 hp at the wheels on a mustang dyno. I want to be at 480 at the wheels and am considering a cam/heads package. I have all the bolt ons already.
Can I expect a 100 hp gain with stage II heads and a big cam from where the car currently is?
Also, in the future, when I hit the lotto, I was thinking about putting on the Vortec. I know that when you force induct, you don't to over cam the car. Is this refering to a cam that is bigger than you can go with stage II heads (are they talking about a stage III heads sized cam?) I just don't want to keep repeating mods.390 RWHP on mustang dyno

no.if you got a cam already no need to swap it-just bolt on some good heads and spray it.

The car isn't going to be to drivable on the street if you get a big enough cam to reach 450

How about just adding the stage II heads, would that give me a good gain? I currently have a pretty small cam, it's the TR 224 112 lsa. It is an extremely modest cam. I don't want to loose driveability, I drive this thing into the city sometimes (DC) and don't want to get stranded, robbed, possibly carjacked or pistol whipped.
Sounds to me like a heads swap for right now would be good for 40-50 hp and I can keep driveability. Later I'll put on the supercharger.

I am guessing you would be just over 400 with heads. If you want 480 and be drivable on the street. A blower will give you that.

380 on a mustand dyno with cam only? Damn. My buddy only put down 316 with a vortech on a mustang dyno.
I know it's whacked. He put out 387 on a dynajet so I'm wondering if the mustang dyno was mental.

I made 364 with the same cam on a Mustang dyno. 372 on a dynojet. I believe 480rwhp will be possible from a headswap if he uses that same dyno again. lol
