Pewter- 2002 Camaro SS
Slight Rattle
I have a slight underbody rattle (02 SS) and can't find anything loose, sounds like loose sheet metal. Anybody got any advice?

Any mods? Where does it sound like it's coming from? Check all heat shields to make sure they're not coming in contact with the exhaust. Also, check the tunnel brace (stamped piece where y-pipe/i-pipe meet) to make sure it's not coming in contact with the exhaust. Most of the stuff under the car is fixed pretty solid. If the motor is rocking back and forth a little, the exhuast moves with it. Most of the other stuff doesn't tend to vibrate/move as much.

"Loose sheet metal" rattling sound is probably a heat shield or the exhaust slightly touching somewhere. I'd get it on a drive on lift so the suspension is fully loaded, then take a rubber mallet and tap on everything in sight to see if you can duplicate it. Good luck, these things are hard to find.
