Hey all, now i'm pretty sure that i'm not even in the right group for this but i was hoping you could help a guy out i'm the disgruntled owner of a 96 Neon < yeah i know i should probably just junk it but i kind of like it, for a four banger is pretty fun to drive> so here's the deal my gear shifter wo't slide into reverse it gets all sloppy and won't even hit the slot... so should i i just drop the cash for a new tranny or are there some quick fixes that'll hold me over for a bit till i get the cash for the car i'm waiting to buy? it also won't hit 5th either, 1st - 4th ok just 5th adr rev. that won't engage... HELP?!?!

i managed to fiugre out that it was the stupid lockbushing on the shifter ... i really like that some of you answered thanks again...
