new dog got eye ripped out.
Man....... my step dad brought back this little dog(pug) from a real bad drug house.(his sons) to have a better life here. the dog is baerly 3 months. Our oldest pure breed golden retrevier( ten years) bit his face and ripped one of his eyes out. blinding him in one eye. Now, im not one for little dogs AT ALL. But damn. this little shit is cool. She is such a trooper, 130 pound dog ripped her face apart blinding her in one eye, and leaving it hanging out of her head. She is still running around so happy, playful, she really is a cool little dog. As we speak this dog is laying on my feet sleeping after playing with me. I cant belaive our golden retreiver did this. NEVER EVER has he shown ANY mean-ness toward anyone. They both let the cat sleep with them, play with the cat. Im bummin we cant keep this little shit around. Sorry little Pug,

I had pretty much the same thing happen to my cat, found her when she was about 6 mo. old, mangled up by a dog real bad. Had to have her eye removed, vet made me a deal and gave her all her shots and spayed her too for $100.00. She stuck around and is now 12 yrs. old. best cat I ever had.

Considering that golden retriever are suppose to be friendly dogs, why did it attack?

Pugs are some of the coolest toy dogs . They make good older people pets...Maybe you can get a couple to adopt it ...

That sucks. But your retriever is 130lbs? That's huge for a retriever. You're sure he's pure-bred? We had a Tosa when I was a kid. Sweetest dog around people, but he loved to fight other animals. He wouldn't growl or bark or anything beforehand, he just jumped into the fight and kept quiet even when fighting.

i dont think the golden retreiver bit the dog as an unfriendly mean intention. it was either being territorial or not used to playing with a smaller dog. it prolly nipped like lots of dogs do messin around and it was a lil overzealous or jus bit off a lil more then it wanted to. needless to say those pics are freakin gross. i feel bad for the dog but i cant say i have found pugs to ever be real cute either. from i understand they are real stubborn and hard to train as well. i think goldens are jus about the perfect family dog u could have. only problem being the ones that shed a lot.

my g/f said it looks like it's been popped out for awhile....she works at a vet. She said they pop out a lot with pugs...they usually put the eye back in and sew it shut...then they reopen it a few weeks later when the muscles tighten around the eye again. It's too bad they didn't catch it earlier...
