    Question Noise from tranny

    I have a new t56 in my TA and shifting through the gears is smooth.

    But when I´m engaging or disengaging the clutch when I'm driving there is a "metallic" thunk from the tranny or clutch. If I would try to describe the sound it's if you imagine gears grabbing into each other but there is too much play between them.

    Is this a normal sound??

    2002 Trans Am CE

    Mine does the same thing. It sounds like it's coming from below/behind me, and it's not really loud. I'm also wondering if it's a problem. Can anyone help?
