I drive a 01 SS and I need to replace my brake pads any recomendations on what to get and where?

The stock pads are good and next to impossible to beat.

Im haveing problems with my breaks over heating when i stop fast and they are stock... anyone have the same problem or any ideas on how to fix that... should this be its own thread?

Get the ceramic ones i got it on mine and i felt the difference (better and fast stops) i have akebono ceramic pads and you can get it to your home from tirerack.com
and also the hawks are a good ones.

if you dont like squeeks or frequent rotor replacements stick to either stock pads or pads that have very low metallic in them. the metallic is frequently put in crappy aftermarket pads or pads that are designed to last super long periods of time.
