    Because it is a miniature version of the M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon. So imagine the same thing but with 6 20mm cannon barrels instead of 7.62mm machine gun barrels. The Vulcan was originally designed for use in aircraft, first being fielded on the F104 Starfighter in 1958. And yes you were right about the music, it was Fight Fire with Fire from Ride the Lightning, just without the chorus.
