Jaguar XKS - Damnit!
Ran into a new Jaguar XKS on my lunch break today. I was sitting next to him at a light, not really paying any attention but when the light turned green he takes off like a bat from hell. I was like WTF! Hell No! So I layed in the Z hard, slowly catch up to him and from about 40 - 90 I could not pass him and he couldn't pull me. What the hell! We were dead neck to neck till we shut it down, so, being the nice person I am looked over and waved. This asshole didn't even look over, he just kept driving along so I backed off and cussed for a few minutes. My camaro finally let me down, I should've raped that car. Hell, last night I put a couple miles on a Audi TT so why couldn't I pull in a Jaguar? For some reason my car didn't pull as hard as it usually does.. Oh well...

Beware, some Jags have a 400hp supercharged V8. I believe all of the car's names include "R". If the Jag that you raced was supercharged it would be called a XKR. They are very low 13 sec cars.

You know, it might have been something like that. The car has a very wild sound to it and I could hear it over my loud Z-28. Is there any way of telling if it was a XJR other than the emblem on the rear? It was black on black but I couldn't see the emblem on the rear of the car.

I just ran one today. I was sittin at a light looking at the R on his brake calipers. (tryin to figure out what is was), The light went green and he took off like a bat out of hell. So I got into it, top of first i had one car on him and slowly pulled him up to third. It was a lot faster then i thought it would be. And to top it off the guy must have been in his late 50's with his wife in the car......

I did some research on that car, it has a 4.2 L DOHC with a Roots supercharger, sounds a lot like an 03 Cobra motor to me.
If he was to put a pulley and full exhaust on that b*tch it would be wicked, and be riding in class too. Damn, I might need to test drive one.Last edited by Roastem; 06-13-2006 at 04:34 AM.

My aunt has one, I had to watch her dogs while they were in Aspen and man was it tempting to take it out for a spin. If only I knew where the keys were. She jokes around w/ me telling me she wants to race but im sure it will never happen.

I think you are correct. I have a family member that has the "r" version. its pretty quick and very smooth.... But he will not race me.. He says his car is for cruzin.. go figure. if I had the money for a car like that I probably would be the same way..
