GM Sierra recall

There's a recall on the tailgate cables on GMC ad Chevy trucks. The recall also covers the hinges if they were damaged by the cable breaking. So my left cable is broken and my hinge is bent. I take it to the dealer and they replace the cables ( with ones made in China I might add) but they don't fix the hinge. They tell me that only the right hinge is covered. What a bunch of shit. I call GM and after about a half an hour on the phone, they also say that only the right hinge is covered, but they'll look into it. I tried calling the same guy at GM back yesterday, not there. I think that they are going to fuck me over on this. Has anybody else taken their truck in for this?

yea my dads 2000 model went in for that and also the whole break system was on recal too.
