I don't really see the correlation between building a car and driving a jet ski across an ocean though?
I just don't see the point of it really....I guess different people like or want different things though.
I guess you could brag that you rode a jet ski that far? Not sure who would be impressed though lol.

I didn't watch the whole video so maybe I missed something. But what was the big deal. I have ridden wave runners from Milwaukee to door county on lake Michigan. About 150 miles. With far less gear and no boat to follow. Granted we could see the shore the entire time.

The waters were infested with man eating snakes, alligators, sharks, whales, and flying pucker fish. Not to mention the mermaids which were fully armed.

Lots of people do it. You need reliable skis, racks for fuel on the back of them, all of the appropriate safety gear including GPS, locators, etc. Most importantly, you have to be in a group, and stay together. It is supposedly a brutal ride on a PWC though, even in calmer seas. Most guys dont average 30mph on the trip.

My buddies boss, who I bought my Can Am from has soooo many toys. One of his wave runners, which is supercharged, also has suspension. The hull that is in the water is separate from the part you sit on and there is suspension in between the two. First time I had seen that, granted my families PWCs are not the newest.

that has to be one of the most boring videos I've ever seen.......it's like watching someone else play a video game.
I saw a show on tv a while back about some guys that were traveling the world by jet skit. Don't remember the name of it because I could only watch a few minutes of that too.

Yea, that's why I jumped through the video and didn't watch the whole thing. I love being on waverunners. Even for 150 miles with only 1 stop on the way for fuel. No desire to watch a video of them just cruising though.
Just have to make sure it's a calm day and hope things don't turn. Don't even attempt if there is even the slightest chance for bad weather and even then weather channels get it wrong all the time. Lake MI can be a real dangerous bitch if it wants to.... as can the ocean.

The weather looks damn good. I don't get those kind of conditions on the ocean very much.
