Knocking after intalling new pcv hose and opsu
i took the intake manifold out and replaced all the gaskets and cleaned the valley carefully " i did stuff rags in the intake ports to ensure nothing falls in" and i replaced my old leaking oil pressure sending unit that by the way cracked in half lol and replaced the pcv hose . and after everything was said and done and put back together i let the car idle relearn and about 5 or 10 minutes into it it just died so i started it back up and it did start but there is a random knocking noise now and i expecting the worse outcome . i love my car and do not want to get rid of it it is my dream car .

You did remember to account for all nuts, bolts, tools and rags, right?
Is there any codes popping?
I ask about the codes because the 1st time I had to take my intake off one of my knock sensor wire harness was pushed into the cylinder and burnt it in 2. Now I take a piece of masking tape and use it to hold down the harness.

Spun rods are easy to fix unless you ate the crank. A good machine shop can resize and buff out the crank & rods. Far cheaper than a new motor.
