Rear Chassis/suspension "popping" noise
Hi all,
Anyone ever hear a "popping" noise from the cars rear chassis/suspension when their cars weight shifts?
I notice it the most when I am parked "nose-in" and I pull out of the spot in reverse, turning left. When the car pretty much comes to a stop, after the 90' turn, I hear "popping" sound as if the suspension all of a sudden has lost tension between two components.
This sound has been there before and after relacement of the panhard rod, LCA's and winter and summer tires.

You check the rubber dampener for the rear springs? If they deteriorate that can make noise.
I would make sure all suspension bolts/nuts are tighten.

It's at the top of the spring that is between the spring and the body.
You'll at the least need to lift it on stands. Let the rear hang, remove the bottom shock nut and pull the spring to get to it.

Thanks for the info on that. If it is the dampers, I can't believe that the shop that replaced my shocks didnt check them (especially after I specifically asked them to check all of the rubber when they did the work).
I don't think I want to have the shock disconnected from the suspension in my angled driveway. I might have to try this other shock. Are there any good brands (that dont cost an arm and a leg) for these? I think I will have a shop replace the upper and lower dampers. I figured it was the sway bar bushings or isolstors/dampers. Wasnt too much else left

Still could be. I just know it's sometimes overlooked.
