Bosch 13111 o2 sensor question
Alright I hope some of you guys have used these before...I just bought two bosch 13111 o2 sensors for my car (2000 trans am)...pretty much my only questions is, what color are they suppose to be? Or do they make different colors that are the same sensor? (When I say color I mean the covering going around the wires)...I got the package today (ordered off ebay) and when i opened the box they are 2 different colors (one red, and the other black) But that's the only difference I can find. The connectors and length are the same as well as the sensor itself... btw please no comments saying how these are not good or whatever, I've read all of the controversy and I have also talked to people that say they work great and have solved their problems, not to mention I have long tube headers and the 13111s Are long enough go where I won't need extentions.....thanksss!

is there a part number on the sensors themselves? Not sure why there would be a different color but that's just a jacket so as long as the part numbers are right I don't see an issue. The 13111 sensors solved my heater code problems and I know a couple other guys that's had luck going to them. Like you say.....a bonus either way is the length of the harness so no extension needed.

The red sensor has a series of numbers that read this 0 258 005 740 (then on the line below it it has) 8902431 12v 982 (there is a circle around the 982)
The black reads this- 0 258 005 740 (next line) 1011233 12v 982 (circle around 982)
so whatever that second set of numbers is, its different.........
this link actually shows both of them under bosch 13111, it has the black and the red. i think it might be the same seller that i bought them from it was just on ebay?? http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-13111-Ox.../dp/B000BZEH3A

Not sure -- maybe a change in manufacturing with one simply older than the other? I run 13111's on our car and have had zero issues.
