b&m cooler mounting
Hey all I have a bm suprrcoolrr its 20500btu thatbim having trouble mounting is the ram air tunnel needed or could I remove it? It seems the ram air gets air to the intake just fine but I'm sure gm put this here for a reason... any input is greatly appreciated!
2002 WS6 A4 Slp lid,
longtube headers w/ high flow cats,
loudmouth exhaust, SLP y-pipe,
799 Heads, TSP Tv2, Dual valve springs, titanium retainers,
Chromoly pushrods, 12 Bolt rear 3.73 gears
torque thrust II black 17-9.5" front 17-10" rear

Mine is a bit bigger than what you have shown it seems there isn't enough clearance. There's an air duct that runs down the radiator to the bottom of my air box. I found a smaller cooler but its rated at half the btu of my current cooler.

When mine was still an auto I mounted it in front of the a/c condenser as well without a problem. I used a Hayden 679 unit that is a plate style rated up to 30000 GVWR. I had also tapped the pan for a temp sender and with this cooler, even in summer traffic in MS the fluid temp never got higher than around 140.

^^ You turned the cooler so that the plates ran vertical -- that is the only way to run that style in our cars imo.
