Have the alternator checked out. That's one of the signs that it's starting to go.
You can also check your battery terminals & ground on the the passenger fender to make sure they are clean and tight.

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28
same problem.
I have an 01 Z28 and have had the same problem. I've checked battery and alternator... everything checks out. No idea what it is.

if everything that Scott suggested is good it's more likely that the regulator portion in your alternator is going bad. You can take the alternator out and have bench test at your local auto parts.

If the test comes back clean, you may take it to another place and act all innocent and have them test it again. Admittedly, you leave yourself open to someone trying to sell you an alt you don't need, but the last time mine went, the first test came back good. I had them test it again, especially since it was a lifetime warranty.

I believe it occurs when the cooling fans kick on. I have checked and rechecked my voltage numerous times under multiple loads, and that is the only time its flickers for me.

not that it helps with the issue the OP is having but my car will have low voltage at idle with the lights on and the fans running. I have checked everything, put new alternators, new batteries and it doesn't change. It will go as low as 12.1v at idle with a/c, and lights on. It's been like that since i owned the car. But i never had the lights flicker. When I had the lights flickering it was a bad alternator.
I do know the factory alternator at idle is charging about 30 amps or so. I kinda gave up on it since the car works fine. I tried adding the Ad244 alternator which is 130amp and it seemed to help alittle but once the fans turn on with the lights it will drop to 12.4-12.6 depending how long it sits on idle. when the fans are not working the car charges fine 13.1-13.4. the voltages satys normal until the fans turn on. Pretty much when the car warms up.

Na the only thing I have had go wrong was the radio screen has cut out. I'm constant on voltage. But its good to check all your connections and keep them cleab with and electronic cleaner and ensure there is no rusting around the grounds. Hope this helps keep me uodated on your progress!
