2001 Firehawk

I have a question about Firehawks. Did they make some in 2001 with a LS2? If so can you tell? How many were made?

I think the LS2 debuted in 2005.

Some 01 and 02 F cars got LS6 blocks.

Your head casting is probably 241 the standard 01/02 heads.

I don't have a Firehawk myself, but ran into someone that told us he had a factory LS2 in a 01 Firehawk. I didn't think they were factory installed, but he insisted he had one and it was very rare. I didn't know for sure so I wanted to hear what others on would say.

Sorry to tell you but he may have an LS6 block but the LS2 was still on the drawing board in 2001. Someone may have swapped in a LS2 years ago but it was not 2001.

The only thing in these cars other then ls1 blocks are ls6 blocks from the factory. Even these had all ls1 parts and accessories so hp was pretty much the same. So either he was full of it or had no idea what he was talking about. Unless someone dropped in a ls2 and he just thought it was factory.
