315 40 r17 fit?
Will 325 40 r17 fit on the rear of my car without rubbing? I have tt2 17x10 .5 in the rear. Looking at nitto 555s but bigger cause the car is a little low in the back with the 275 40r17s on it now.

I wouldn't go any more than a 295 or possibly 305 on a 10.5" wheel but that's just me. If you do insist on running a 315, a 315/40/17 would be too tall, you would want a 315/35 to keep as close as possible to the stock diameter.
Whether it will rub will depend on your wheel offset and how well you suspension is centered. There are variances from one car to another, where one car fits one wheel/tire setup another car might rub. Nothing a hammer and a cutoff wheel can't fix though

315/35/17 Nitto 555r's will fit.
Nitto's run slightly smaller than other brand 315's. I'm running 315/35/17 555r's on the rear of my SS mounted on 17x10 B.C. Smoothie II's.
A suggestion I have would be to invest in an adjustable panhard bar to center the rear (left/right) so the rear is centered under load (prevent the sidewalls from being chewed by the metal inner fender). I have not had to roll the fenders with my setup. You may also have to do the BFH mod to the inner fenders for inside clearance as well. Same with your bump stops. That also might be something you may have to look into running a 10.5" wheel. Again, none of those needed to be done for my application, except for the BFH on the inner fender. Just recommending you double check is all.

I think I'll be going the rout of a 305 35 or 40 on the rims then I don't really wanna cut or chop on anything. Plus I have stock suspension and phb. It'll still give the ass end more stance.

TAs do have a little more room to work with over camaros. So you wont be as likely to have to bring out the hammer.

I agree on the 35-series sidewall. The more clearance you have, the happier you'll be.
