Benelli Nova Tactical 12ga
Opinions?
I just put one on layaway at a good price.
Got tired of looking for a Mossberg 550 or 930's

I think it's label that way because the barrel is at 19" vs a full length one.
It was very light so that means it's going to kick like a mule...can't wait to see my son knock on his ass.

Black 2002 T/A M6- Green 1997 Ram 4x4
Benelli makes a great shotgun. I'll admit, the only experience I have with their stuff personally is the semi-auto side (Benelli M4, specifically), but everyone I've talked to that's gone from a Mossberg 500/590 or Remington 870 to a Benell Nova/Supernova has never gone back. Conversely the Mossberg/Remington fans that try and knock Benelli usually have never owned one.
Only downside is that Benelli doesn't have quite the aftermarket support of the Mossberg or Remington.
Also, Nova-specific - it comes with rifle sights, not the ghost ring sights of the Supernova. Easy swap though, if that matters. A lot of people shoot shotguns just fine (if not better) with rifle sights.

Same experience with the M4, great for breaching
Thanks for the input. Just made me feel better about my whim purchase...I got tired of waiting for Mossberg/Remington's to come back in stock or hell get to a reasonable asking price.

I have never known anyoen to go from a 500 or 870 to a nova because it is pointless. Any of those guns will do the same thing, most people go to a semi-auto after a pump. The best thing about semi-auto is they can be light and still have less recoil than a pump. The m4 though is NOT light.
