    Question Sway bar?

Just a question.. I put a 9in rear in my 02 trans am. I used the same torque arm slp and the car is lower it has umi lca bars and they do have the proper angle on them and the rear end is set at 2 degrees. Now Its never wheel hoped before I but this new rear end in? It is set in there with everything the same as the 7.5 rear. Could A bigger sway bar help???? Most of the time it does it on the street.. But at the track it doesn't well very little. Just different tires from on the street to the strip..

Wheel hop is controlled by the LCA's and the Torque Arm. You said 2 degrees. Do you mean -2 degrees?

Are you using the stock location LCA brackets, or did you have LCA relocation brackets mounted to the 9" axle tubes? What hole are your LCA's mounted to?

Tires will also have an effect. If you are spinning bad, that usually results in some wheel hop. Just my personal experience.

the rear end is set at negative 2 degrees That's what Bmr told me to set it at.. Yes I had them mount the LCA brackets on the 9in and I am on the bottom hole.

Only other thing then would be tires...

A sway bar will help with body roll and help keep the car straight on a powerful launch. If you do decide to get one, they need to be bought together (front and rear) as they work together.

How much tire spin are you getting out of the hole ? Do you have a M6 or A4 ? What gear ratio did you go with ? What tire size are you running ?

An aftermarket torque arm (not sure what the SLP torque arm is... tubular?) and panhard bar will help settle things down. Are your rear shocks worn? Pop them off the rear and push them in and pull them out a couple of times. They should be firm and smooth without any slack.

Its a M6 and On the street really spins and that's where I see it. Yes the torque arm is tubular. shocks are new. But going to put the QA1 adjustable shocks on it this spring. (2002ssslp) It has 3.89 gears in it.. The car seems to hook up on the track and does not seem to wheel hop then. once in awhile. I am getting 1.8 60foots and it went 11.27 127mph Maybe it is the tires could they be out of balance maybe??? Here is it wheel hoping in 2 gear at the track..

You are pushing some power. UMI makes a drag bar setup that you may want to look into.
