I havent done it since 05 or so, but I did some racing in Colorado on a couple of local dirt tracks. Rocky mountain national speedway (RIP ), and I-76 speedway in Fort Morgan. I just did it on the side of my asphalt racing for fun. In an Enduro class, kind of like Econo stocks. My car was a 77 chevelle malibu, gutted, cage, etc. mild 355. It was a class for mostly "stock" cars. That shit was fun

    Sadly now demodded :(

Back in the 80's I helped work on a friends father's car that he raced at Ascot Raceway in Gardena. His dad had a 68 Coronet which had a 440 and 4-speed that he used as a bomber oval car (5/8 mile track). He also raced Figure 8 with another 68 Coronet. We all worked on the car between rounds + I got in for free as part of the crew.

Sprints are my altime fave, followed by the lates, but we run mostly A-mod and street stocks here, still a blast, a trip to watch world of outlaws is well worth the money

We raced in the mid-90's at a couple of local tracks. My youngest brother drove, best friend built the engine and transmission, and I did fabrication and repair work... also spent boat loads of $$ at it. We ran in the Street Stock class and won a points championship in our last year of racing. Good times.

A good friend of mine races A-mod. It's very enjoyable -

It's surprisingly pretty competitive down here in southern MN.

Suede - do you know John Tesch? (Watertown, SD)

That's cool. I'll tell ya who is damn good - is Ryan Gustin. I've met him - seems like a good kid.

Tim Dondlinger & Steve Wetzstein are two local A-mod guys who are fun to watch too. Steve's a good friend of mine - wild as hell kind of a guy - but a good guy.

There's a track nearby in Racine, MN (Deer Creek Speedway). They put on a heckuva show - and get a lot of good racers from all over the country. Tesch, Gustin, Bloomquist, etc, etc.

They even had Harvick & McReynolds as guests once. Pretty cool.
