2000 corvette going into safe mode
My 2000 corvette has 3 inch long tube headers, off road x pipe, and no cats. While driving down the road or starting off from a stop light the car will suddenly go into safe mode and not want to run no matter how much gas I give or anything. I have already replaced the plugs, triple checked the gapping, changed the plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, checked the coil packs, did a compression test on all cylinders, replaced the front o2 sensors, checked for any air leaks, cleaned the maf sensor. Can not fix problem. Im getting these codes when I read it out PO174; PO152; PO131; PO132; PO300. Any help would be awesome. Could it possibly be a bad accelerator pedal sensor??? Or a bad ECU needing to be reproggramed from having no Cats on the car??? Car wont even sit in driveway and idle properly. Wants to stall.

Looks like you have a misfire condition going on. Might want to check for a vacuum leak under the hood. I had one awhile back on my Z28 which was caused by a hole in my PCV system pulling unmetered air into the engine. It was loud enough I could hear it. Is your check engine light flashing any?

No the car was not tuned after the modifications. Ran into some money problems afterwards and havent gotten them done yet. Now this started right before I was going to get the tune. Yes my check engine light is on and those codes that I put into the thread is what I got from reading it out with an OBDII. I checked for vacuum leaks once already and found one at the Maf sensor but fixed it and problem still exists.

Okay. Have you checked the intake tube for any cracks/tears? If you have any tears in the intake bellows, that could be the culprit. Also, how many miles are on the car? Is the throttlebody on your car drive-by-wire?

I would also check your PCV system out, as well. If there is a crack or hole in it you're pulling in unmetered air, which will cause your car to run lean and misfire.

I'm trying to remember if yours has the drive-by-wire throttlebody. Back when I used to post on a GTO-based forum, years ago, the LS2 GTOs had limp-mode issues that were electronic throttlebody related.

have you checked for a melted wire on the headers? Also...verify fuel pressure at the rail. 3 out of 5 codes there are O2 codes. If you've replaced the sensors I would then look at the harness. Any exhaust leaks pre O2 sensor?
