Quicksilver Metallic- 2005 Pontiac GTO
Mercury Marauder
So, this guy at work thinks he's tough because he just got a Mercury Marauder and now he keeps asking me when we're gonna race. I'm not a Ford/Mercury fan so I don't know a lot about these cars. Anyone know the details? What are my chances with a basically stock 01 T/A w/ 4.10s and a SFCs?
Thanx

You'll murder him. I know a couple guys with these cars. They are a basass lookin car and come with a awesome exhaust note from the factory but they are tanks. If you go from a dig you will destroy him. He might stay a bus length or so back from a roll.
Now go destroy him and post back the results.02 TA A4

make sure its not supercharged... theres a red one that changes to black when you open the hood... it also had cobra engine bay in it they even moved the strut towers to complete the effect... i think its running around out west, but has FL tags...

People with those cars always think their fast. I had to put one in his place on the freeway one time.
go ahead and CRUSH him
play with him off the line though then pull hard as hell past him and chirp 2nd, let off in 3rd
that will be enough to make his face look like the scream mask

I have a Ford so my opinion may not matter as much. The Florida Highway Patrol have a bunch of them. They are pretty nice cars actually. Just not my cup of tea. For a full size car they are fast. Your LS1 will beat it pretty easily though. It is probably the best police sedan ever used. They look mean although they are big and heavy. They have the Mach 1 4 valve aluminum motor with decent gearing and exhaust. If I had to drive a luxury barge I would pick the Marauder in a second.

My x's dad has 1 but he wouldn't take it out of the garage to run ,But if I needed a family car being a chevy die hard I would have a hard time deciding between the Marauder and a 96-impala. Both look very nice and a little intemadating.
